Fabulous Blogs

Photobucket

Valse Du Beau/Waltz of the Beautiful by Cody Smith Photos

In a local paper yesterday psychologist Dr Janet Hall welcomed the continuing popularity of light entertainment, saying that people felt happier if they embraced feel-good entertainment. You should expose your mind to whatever is beautiful, noble, right, pure and admirable, and anything that’s excellent or praise-worthy. She warned about the possibility of depression from constant exposure to apocalyptic and terror-filled TV shows and movies.

Yes, words like beautiful, noble, right etc are subjective. Sometimes too the English language is limiting. When it comes to blogs, the ones I follow often do it for me. They’re filled with my kind of beauty - not just material things but beauty in ideas, in observations. There’s humour, honesty and a feeling of connectedness. When I leave a comment I know that it will matter to the blogger. I’d love to hear about a blog or two that does it for you, where a visit leaves you feeling better than you did before.

The connectedness and humor and ideas are important, u said that very nicely!

I've been blogging for roughly about a year now and I can't tell you what it's done to my life - I had absolutely no idea it was this much fun and that I would meet some of the earth's most talented extraordinary people AND get to have small chats with them everyday! And guess what? Your blog for me is right up there as I'm sure it is for a lot a lot of people!!! My other fave blog would have to be Gabbi's : http://felinofelice.blogspot.com/ If you don't visit already - I highly recommend it - it is delightful!!!

I have to say Chrisy that your blog does it for me!!! Also Sam's suggestion of Gabbi's blog is a good one as it's one that I discovered a while ago and thoroughly enjoy. And of course Sam's blog is just beautiful!

Light- uplifting - inspiring ... . .
qualities so rare in todays' real world.
I also find connections with like-minded spirits to be rare. Our far flung bloglandia friends remind us that we are not alone in that which we value.
Hugs to you, my dear -

I pull inspiration from a trove of blogs, spanning everything from gastronomy to home decor, wordless photo-blogs to personal journals that are almost entirely comprised of text. I think blogs are marvelous, when done earnestly and from the heart they become like scrapbooks of the soul.

Thank you dearly for your own fantastic blog and for sharing of your own heart, mind and soul with us, my friend.

Many hugs,
♥ Jessica

We all do need a little lightness and beauty for our hearts…
And sometimes it can be the simplest things.
Last Friday for me, it was a street entertainer of about 65 years old playing his
violin in the Boston public garden.
It was a beautiful song…I added my dollars to his jar and he gave me the most wonderful smile.
That song and smile carried me through the day.

I find the blog world to be a very encouraging and giving community and I visit many different blogs from art, to beautiful,
to just plain fun…
I am happy that I came across your blog just a few short months ago…
You have added a richness and support with each word you write,
and for this, I thank you…

Hello Chrisy, thank you so much for the comforting words. Indeed, there is nothing in this world I appreciate more than a hug from a friend. One of my favorite quotes is "That's what I consider true generosity. You give your all, and yet you always feel as if it costs you nothing." Couldn't Simone de Beauvoir have said that about women friends? I believe she did.

I was looking for some info and was searching on Google for it. I visited each of the top 10 pages that came up but didn’t get any relevant result... I then luckily found your diamond message board in the dirt and thought to check it out. This is what I was looking for

Cheers peeps at sophismpress.blogspot.com and keep your good effort up.
